C4EM are very pleased to announce the 2020 Echuca Moama Women’s Scholarship is now available.
The Echuca Moama Women’s Scholarship has been made possible by proceeds from the International Women’s Day 2020 event. The event was made possible through the support and coordination by the Committee for Echuca Moama in partnership with Campaspe Primary Care Partnership, Campaspe Cohuna Local Learning and Education Network, Community Living & Respite Service, Echuca Moama Tourism, Echuca Amcal / Priceline Pharmacy, Murray River Council, The Riverine Herald, Campaspe Shire Council and the Centre for Non-Violence.
As a result of the overwhelming community support shown for the event, the surplus funds raised are now being made available to support local women in the Echuca Moama region. This is a one-off scholarship.
Committee for Echuca Moama (C4EM), Campaspe Primary Care Partnership (CPCP) and Campaspe Cohuna Local Learning & Education Network (CCLLEN) encourages women to challenge gender stereotypes about occupations, promote gender-inclusive work environments, and encourage participation in the local Echuca Moama economy.
As a collective, we want to increase the number of women working in occupations where female representation is low.
Scholarships are now available to support two or more local women working, or studying in a non-traditional occupation, trade, industry or sector. Examples include (but not limited to) construction, mining, engineering, automotive and manufacturing.
Funds may be used for tuition costs, tools or related expenses at TAFE, University or a reputable private education provider that are not covered by their workplace.
Funds may not be used for travel, accommodation, living costs, events or projects.
Individual scholarship requests must not exceed $1000 and are most often awarded to approximately $500 in value.
